The Porcelain
Collection

Basic
Ceramic Stats:
1. They were produced under the company Extra Special (with licensing from Hasbro
Bradley).
2. Both single figurines and scenic sets are copyrighted in 1985.
3 . There are advertised 22 U. S. sets (including both single figurines and
scenic figurine sets), plus one special order.
4 . First Born was a special order ceramic available with the purchase of two
ceramic figures. She is also probably the most common.
5 . There are those that were produced in Sweden (and perhaps other places as
well) that did not fall into the category of the 22 U. S. sets: Baby Moondancer,
Majesty, other Swedish single ceramics still probably undiscovered.
6 . They are often referred to as ceramics, figurines, or porcelain items.
Single figurines came package with a tag, and sceneries came packaged with boxes.
7. Single figurines from the U. S. originally had two round gold seals on their
stomachs. The Swedish versions have a painted on logo.
8. The Scenic Set versions have a gold horseshoe and copyright information painted
onto the bottom of the ceramic.
9. Singles are anywhere from 1 to 3 inches tall, and usually 2-3.5 inches wide.
Scenes are anywhere from 3.5-7 inches tall and usually 3.5-6.5 inches wide.
This
work of art possesses the magic of a warm, mythical moment from the land of
My Little Pony.
It has been immortalized in sculptured porcelain bisque by the artists of Extra
Special. Each is handpainted and individually dated, with the My Little Pony
mark of authenticity impressed in the stone. So its the start of a wonderful
collection.
