Brazilian My Little Ponies  (P-Z)

The majority of strange Brazilian poses were coined in 1983.  In the following years they made many ponies that very closely resembled American counterparts.  They were made in Brazil by Brinquedos Estrela, under the license of Hasbro.   I have not listed the ponies by date. There are also several ponies made that resemble U. S. ponies nearly identically. You can tell the difference by the eyes, hoof markings, and hair.

All Brazilian ponies have different accents around the eyes.  The symbols of similar ponies are also often varied.  The darkly lined eyes are common among most all of the Middle American ponies. Also, there may be slight differences. Brazilian Applejack has dark green stems; whereas, the U. S. Applejack has light green stems.  Also, you will notice over time, the hair may become brittle and appear dry. This is common among Brazilians.

Oddly, Brazilian is the only Middle American (includes Mexico to the tip of South America) to not have odd brightly colored variants. Though there are many pose variations and oddities, these are loosely based upon U. S. ponies in color and style.

Paradise (Non So Soft) (Pegasus) is white with red hair and green palm trees and orange sun symbol.  She is in the same pose as the U. S. version, which is a so soft.  However, she is not a so soft and has a shiny lacquer. How to tell the difference in her and the U. S. version: thicker eyeline, no flocking, Brazil stamped into hoof.

Parasol (No Symbol) (earth pony) is a pale pink with rainbow colored hair and no symbol.

Parasol (Collector Pose) (earth pony) is pink with rainbow hair and three umbrellas for her symbol.  She is very similar to the U. S. version, except she is in the collector's pose instead of Up, Up, and Away's pose (right picture).

Ribbon (Posey's Pose) (earth pony) is blue with chartreuse hair with an orange streak.  She has a white ribbon symbol and a shiny lacquer.  She varies quite a bit from the U. S. version, which is a so soft unicorn in a different pose.

Shady (Non So Soft) (earth pony) is pink with yellow hair and blue shades.  She differs from the U. S. version which is a so soft.  However, color and pose remain the same. How to tell the difference in her and the U. S. version: thicker eyeline, no flocking, Brazil stamped into hoof.

Sugarberry (Posey's Pose) (earth pony) is white with pink hair and pink strawberries.  She is a Twice as Fancy pony, with her symbol covering nearly her entire body.  She has a shiny lacquer, and is copyrighted 1984.

Truly (Medley's Pose) (Pegasus) is white with pink hair with a blue streak in mane and tail.  Her symbol is a blue dove with pink hearts surrounding it, and she has a shiny lacquer.  She is copyrighted 1983.

Twist (Shady's pose) (earth pony) is blue with red hair and white pretzels for her symbol.  She has a shiny lacquer; also, she is not a unicorn like the original Twist.

Up, Up, and Away (Shady's pose) (earth pony) is pink with pink hair and yellow and green balloons covering her body.  She has a shiny lacquer.

Wind Whistler (Heart Throb's Pose) (Pegasus) is blue with pink hair and pink whistles.  The U. S. version of Wind Whistle is in Paradise's pose and is a so soft. There is another version of Wind Whistler without flocking; the U. K. and European version. However, the U. K. version retains Paradise's pose.
