Brazilian My Little Ponies (U. S. Variations)

The majority of strange Brazilian poses were coined in 1983.  In the following years they made many ponies that very closely resembled American counterparts.  They were made in Brazil by Brinquedos Estrela, under the license of Hasbro.   I have not listed the ponies by date. There are also several ponies made that resemble U. S. ponies nearly identically. You can tell the difference by the eyes, hoof markings, and hair.

All Brazilian ponies have different accents around the eyes.  The symbols of similar ponies are also often varied.  The darkly lined eyes are common among most all of the Middle American ponies. Also, there may be slight differences. Brazilian Applejack has dark green stems; whereas, the U. S. Applejack has light green stems.  Also, you will notice over time, the hair may become brittle and appear dry. This is common among Brazilians.

Oddly, Brazilian is the only Middle American (includes Mexico to the tip of South America) to not have odd brightly colored variants. Though there are many pose variations and oddities, these are loosely based upon U. S. ponies in color and style.

Differences in U. S. and Brazilian versions:

Baby Ponies

Baby Blossom (earth pony) is purple with white hair and three white flowers; she has white freckles on her nose.

Baby Cotton Candy
(earth pony) is pink and her symbol was several white dots; she has white freckles on her nose.

Collector Ponies aka Circus Ponies

These are very similar to the U. S. versions except they come with special outfits.  There are only four of the six Collector ponies released with this set.

Blue Belle is blue with purple hair and purple stars.
Butterscotch is gold with dark golden hair with orange butterflies.  She has gold eyes, like the U. S. version.  She is very similar to the U. S. version, but has Brazil stamped on the hoof.
