My Little Pony Fan Clubs (U. S. and International)

The My Little Pony Fan Club was designed for Pony Fans.  In the U. S. it was known as the Fan Club, and Internationally is was the Activity Club. The Fan Club could be joined by sending in horseshoe points and X dollars.  It worked the same way most mail order ponies did. 

The U. S. My Little Pony Fan Clubs

My Little Pony Fan Club was offered from 1983-1985.  It included:


The New My Little Pony Fan Club was offered Years 5 through 7.  It included:

The International Activity Club

   Internationally,  there were also a My Little Pony Fan Club offered called the Activity Club.  It was very similar to the U. S. fan clubs, with different items.  It ran successfully from the mid-80's until the common closing year for My Little Pony, 1991.  It was a yearly Fan Club that included many of the same items as the U. S. fan club.  The Fan club sent out patches, membership certificates, and sometimes even adoption papers for new the Baby Activity Club Ponies.

Ponies were offered through the Activity Club in 1989-1991.  They are often referred to as Activity Club ponies:

1989 Activity Club Pony:  Baby Pony

These ponies are mail order ponies; there were a total of four.  They were available in the United Kingdom through activity club equivalent to the U. S.babypony.jpg (15223 bytes) Fan Clubs.  Baby Pony was the first in 1989, and the rest were issued in the 1990's--Baby Bridesmaid, Baby Fun 'n Games.  Each are listed in their individual year.
Baby Pony (earth pony) is all white and has no symbol.  She is the size of a newborn baby pony and in a standard Newborn Pony pose.

Where did she get the name Baby Pony?  Well, a certificate came with her as follows:

So, she wasn't actually given a name, you are supposed to name her.  However, for ID purpose, I'm sure Baby Pony (which is tacked in bold letters above the blank line was give.

Activity Club Pony: Baby Bridesmaid
These ponies are mail order ponies; there were a total of four.  They were available in the United Kingdom through activity club equivalent to the U. S. Fan Clubs. Baby Bridesmaid
(earth pony) is white with blue hair and a silver top hat, horseshoe, and hearts.  She has purple eyes and is in Dangles pose.  Her right back hoof is slightly bent to the back.  She is very similar to Dangles in that they share the same pose, hair color and style, and eye color.

 

Activity Club Pony:  Baby Fun 'n Games
These ponies are mail order ponies; there were a total of four.  They were available in the United Kingdom through Activity Club, equivalent to the U. S. Fan Clubs. Baby Fun 'n Games came with a special badge (and other Activity Club items).  The badge pictures her and the My Little Pony logo.
